Durham Recruiting has a great opportunity for an experienced Painter/Finisher for our custom cabinet client in Durham. This is an immediate full-time opening for our client in the Oshawa area. Straight days in an amazing top of the line custom cabinetry shop.  

 

The Opportunity:

 

In a nutshell, the Painter will be responsible for ensuring that all parts are sprayed to a consistently high quality in a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere.   Responsibilities will include the identification and discarding of defective products, performing all work in a safe manner, cleaning and maintaining painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.

What We Need from You:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Painter in a similar industry
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Effective verbal/listening communications skills and time management
  • Critical eye for identifying defects
  • Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour
