Durham Recruiting has an exciting straight day shift for a working Millwright/Team Lead. This is with a company that has been around for over 60 years! Having seen it all, this company has figured out how to remain successful through recessions, the take over of China into our manufacturing space and diversifying the workplace.

The Opportunity:

In a nutshell, you will be managing a team of 6 skilled trades (on a day, afternoon and night shift) to keep the facility and machines running efficiently. You will be scheduling the team, doing preventive maintenance schedules, working with the various departments on priorities, training and mentoring the team. All the typical responsibilities of a true manager within a manufacturing setting.

This is a working manager role in that you will be still hands-on when needed on the floor and with the maintenance of the building. **   A full list of responsibilities will be given during the interview process

What Stood Out For Us:

Walking around the facility, you could tell from the moment we were out there that this was a company that cared about its employees and took the time to get to know them. Honest smiles and waves from everyone to the HR Manager and the President. There is a sense of pride not only in the office but out on the floor as well. This is a company that has stood the test of time and is still rising to the top.

With a mixture of old and new machines, a building to upkeep and a great staff no two days will be the same. Our client is looking for someone still passionate about maintenance to help preplan and take the department to the next level in the years to come.

Why Choose Our Client:

  • Monday – Friday 7:30 to 4:30 (9 hour days)
  • $90, 000 approx. Annual Salary (based on $38/hr)
  • Friendly, welcoming and collaborative team
  • Clean, safety-conscious and continuously upgrading the facility
  • Tenured maintenance team (varying from 2 to 10+ years) that is a wealth of knowledge on the facility
  • Benefits available after 3 months
  • Excellent onboarding process
  • This is a company that cares, has a great family vibe and is committed to keeping sprites high and employee engagement up

What We Need From You:

  • Keen interest in being a hands-on Maintenance Manager – you will be out on the floor and working towards the update of the facility
  • Experience with: Maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems/equipment, furnaces, boilers and everything in between.
  • Proven ability to schedule general repairs, troubleshooting training, costing, reports for improvement proposals and again everything in between
  • Licensed Millwright needed (we do not require an Engineering Degree for this role)
  • 5+ Years preferred in a managing role or 10+ years as a Millwright with proven skills to take the leap into Management role for a mid-size facility

We would like to thank everyone for their application but only those chosen to be a part of our hiring process will be contacted. Not the millwright role for you?
